Peter Mohan has written a number of books on carp fishing, and hundreds of articles. He always liked writing short (fictional) stories, and this book is a collection of these. Some have been published before, but others have never been seen in print, and were written especially for this book.

The book includes 8,000 words about Peter's own fishing over the years — this is the 'True Tales' (tails?) part of the book, which is then, a mixed bag of 'made-up' stories, and true tales.

Peter thinks that 'Gillian' is the first published story about a female angler, and there is some humour in the book, especially with the pieces illustrated by Len Gurd.

We think of this book as something quite different from the usual run of carp books, and we hope the reader will enjoy it all.

Also available by Peter Mohan: A Life for Carp and Cypry the Carp.
