Sir Pete’s Final Offering

It covers the last ten years of Pete’s fishing, when, on the stillwaters, he not only catches his largest carp for almost two decades, but also specimen tench, perch and zander. There’s also the challenge he set himself to catch a carp off the surface in each month of the year, and five years on he’s still going!

But the main thread of the book is his battle with a wild Sussex river, and the successes and failures he encounters along the way. At points this becomes the definitive text on how to tackle a river using a boat, outlining the many pitfalls and obstructions that you just don’t foresee when first purchasing the craft, and it soon becomes apparent that the learning curve is almost vertical! But, when huge barbel and river carp slide into his net, the trials and tribulations soon disappear and for a while the world is a happier place.

As an added bonus we have produced a 2 hour DVD taken from Pete’s own video tapes from the early 90’s, which has never before seen footage of historic captures from Wraysbury, Horton and Sonning. Each hardback comes with this free DVD and it’s almost worth getting it just to see the footage of Pete with that historic Wraysbury brace.

The book itself is 264 pages in length, with more than 300 colour photos, as well as illustrations by Ian Webber.
