The Aswan High Dam and Lake Nasser is a virtually unexplored place spreading across an area of 2,550 square kilometres. An expedition comprised of members representing seven nationalities led by Jakub Vagner and Olivier Portrat endeavoured to probe into new opportunities for angling enthusiasts on the lake. The expedition's principal goal was fishing for the legendary Nile perch, the menacing tigerfish, and the enigmatic vundoo catfish. The unforgettable atmosphere of the project was still enhanced by the character of the surrounding countryside swarming with scorpions, the waters full of crocodiles, and of course, the presence of the native inhabitants of the area inundated by the dam lake: Nubians. Water and sunshine, intertwined with the threads of fishing lines with glistening flawless bodies of magnificent aquatic predators at their tips... That, in a nutshell, is the picture of our trip to the "Nasser Sea" whose expanse cannot fail to fascinate you not only by its size and natural beauty, but also by the thrills it offers to anglers.
Running time approx 54 mins.
