Episode 1 "THE SOURCE" Shannon Pot is the start point of this epic journey with Matt, down the mighty Shannon. Stunning scenery, quirky gillies and tearful history all contribute to setting this fishing adventure scene. Pike Fishing on Lough Allen and Carp fishing at Roosky Weir ensure rod-bending action is the order of the day.

Episode 2 "THE UPPER REACHES" Matt cycles to Tarmonbarry Bridge and bags roach and perch. Off downstream on his bike, Matt tries a 'splash & dash' in a tiny tributary and lands a few surprises. Arriving at Lanesborough, Matt tries his luck on one of the Shannon's most famous hot spots. Finally, Matt is taken American-style lure fishing on beautiful Lough Ree.

Episode 3 "THE MIDDLE SHANNON" Peddling furiously through the stunning Irish countryside, Matt arrives at Athlone, where he stumbles into a local pike competition. Downstream, the 'Meadows' produce a surprise pike and some classic Shannon bream. Its then off to Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic site of much interest and splendour. Matt closes this episode at Shannon Harbour.

Episode 4 "THE LOWER MIDDLE SHANNON" Matt arrives on his bike at the spectacular Lough Derg and local gillie David Harris puts him onto some fine 'Dustbins'. At Portumna he meets up with a "filly of a gillie" who takes him by boat to slam into some very large pike.

Episode 5 "THE LOWER SHANNON" Matt ends his adventure down the Shannon in style... at Castleconnell he lands a fin-perfect salmon. Cycling at full-pelt through Limerick, he arrives at Kilrush on the Shannon estuary. Noel Gallagher takes Matt and 'Storming Norman Dunlop' sea fishing for the afternoon. They discover that on a perfect day you can catch over 13 species of fish in this river's estuary.
